Students will be assigned a project: They are to write a resumé of a European explorer. Students may choose any explorer that we have studied, EXCEPT Christopher Columbus (he has been done too many times). Papers must be in resumé form, not an essay. Resumés should be written as if the explorer were applying for a job, and finished moments before death. Resumés must be typed, one page maximum. Use Times New Roman font, size 12. Spelling counts. Put the heading on the BACK of the resumé. Online sources are fine, but be aware that not all sites are as accurate as the other. Do not rely on Wikipedia; it sometimes has good information, sometimes not. You are better off looking at the sources and references in Wikipedia and using that as a starting point. FIND SOMETHING RELIABLE! Mr. Johnson has had some very "creative" historical events turned in to him. This counts as a test grade, so do well. This is due Tuesday 9/7.
