Objectives:

You should be able to identify, explain and apply the following concepts:

  • Identify characteristics of all animals
  • Differentiate between vertebrates and invertebrates
  • Explain how the symmetry of the animals differ
  • Discuss animal classification
  • Characteristics of various groups of invertebrates

Thursday 4-22 Introduction to the invertebrates: NOVA"Little Creatures that Run the World"

Prepare presentation on assigned topic:

  • include the information in the textbook
  • if you wish, add information from other sources
  • if you wish to use any visuals (slide show, images) e-mail those to Mrs. Jankowski
  • may use poster, board, etc.
  • be ready to present on Monday
Friday 4-23 NOVA"Little Creatures that Run the World" Work on the presentation
 
Monday 4-26 Invertebrates presentations Sign, correct, return test
Tuesday 4-27 Invertebrates presentations  
Wednesday 4-28 Invertebrates presentations  
Start the vertebrates and frog anatomy
Extra credit opportunity: Make a "geoblox" model of The Evolution of the Jaw in fish. See Mrs. Jankowski for details if interested.
